_how to contribute?

Your guide on how to contribute to RProject:
(Since time isn't a luxury most Rafflesians have, all contribution methods are rated on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of how time-consuming they are. 1 point represents approximately an hour. eg, 2/10 means it'll require about 2hrs of your time. Methods listed are arranged in ascending order of time required to commit)
DISCLAIMER: all ratings are approximations, because you ultimately choose the amt of time you want to commit! :P)

1. Contribute clothes you no longer use.

RATING: 0.5/10

WHY CONTRIBUTE?
With a budget of $0.00, we need all the cloth, buttons, zips, etc we can get to reassemble one-of-a-kind clothes. Shirts, dresses hats, accessories, belts, bags, jackets, ANYTHING from GUYS and GIRLS, especially plain t-shirts.
& those who donate clothes get to take part in out lucky draw. the more you donate, the higher your chances are of winning. (1st prize: a pair of frontrowseat tickets to the fashion show + a private viewing of the collection. 2nd prize: a pair of frontrowseat tickets to the fashion show.)

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE?
All it takes is for you to rummage through your closet and gather all the stuff you no longer need/ don't like/ have outgrown in a bag and pass it to us at our booth in the canteen. We'll be stationed in the canteen from Tuesday to Thursday during your breaks (most likely), and after school (from 2pm). alternatively, you could pass them personally to Denise+Clare+Candice (2A01D), Tricia+Evelyn (2A01B), Michelle (2s06F).

2. Be a model

RATING: 5.5/10

WHY CONTRIBUTE?
just strut up and down the runway- it's that simple!

THIS MEANS?
at least two rehearsals (one for practising the line-up, your entrances and exits; one for a full-dress) and a fitting with your designer (though this is optional) Please contact Sarah at 90265855 or Anita at 91439514 if interested.

3. Be a designer.

RATING: 10/10

WHY CONTRIBUTE?
fashionistas, this is your one and ONLY chance (unless you're intending to apply to the Fashion Institute of Tchnology after A's) to design and showcase your own outfit! you get to do the sketching, the assembling, the fittings on your model- just like a real designer, only this opportunity makes designing much simpler. how? we'll be using donated clothes (see #1)and working from there. for example, you could embellish a plain t-shirt, or you could get your hands on a skirt, add a band and give it new life as an empire-waist top! Also, the theme is Raffles since the show is on the day of the RJC Opening Ceremony, but adhering to the theme is OPTIONAL.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE?
Fill in this form, print it out and submit it to Denise (96343810/ 2A01D), Maxine (81614122/ 2S03N), Yanni (97111387/ 2S03B) or Michelle (98218071/ 2S06F).
your design(s) are due on 27th February (Monday).

THE PROCESS? (V IMPT. PLS READ before submitting your designs!!)
all designs must be submitted for approval by our teacher-in-charge. once approved, you are to make your outfit on your own (using sewing machine, etc). with regards to materials, you may survey the clothes donations to see what you'd like to use. final allocations of materials will be decided by the main committee. any additional materials bought of your own accord will not be reimbursed by the main committee. with regards to models, you may pick the model you wish to use as long as it is a mutual agreement. otherwise, the main committee will allocate a model based on the size of your clothes. do take into consideration the size of your outfit and the model wearing it.
